Citizens’ Rights

BRILL is a member of British in Europe, a coalition of 10 similar groups across the EU that is campaigning at EU and UK level to maintain our rights in the Withdrawal Agreement. We have been part of delegations that have attended meetings with the Department for Exiting the EU (DExEU), the Commission Article 50 Task Force led by Michel Barnier, the Council Brexit coordinating working group and Members of the European Parliament (MEPs). All these meetings take place with our advocacy partners, the 3million, the coalition of EU27 nationals living in the UK.

After each round of negotiations, British in Europe and the 3million issue joint responses to the state of play on citizens’ rights – see BiE position papers for more.
